Using the SCANport Capabilities
Chapter Objectives Chapter 8 provides information for changing the default configuration
to customize the way SCANport works for you.
Understanding the Logic Input
Sts Parameter
Logic Input Sts (parameter 14) shows which functions are currently
executing. To use SCANport effectively, you need to understand how
Logic Input Sts works.
Logic Input Sts has the following bits:
SCANport Denition Serial Communications devices such as the Human Interface Module
that are directly mounted on the IMPACT drive are identified as
SCANport Device 1. Remote communication devices such as a HIM,
GPT etc. are identified as Device 2 and up (depending on the amount
of control devices connected to the Drive).
