Installation Instructions

Connector Seals for Series B IP67 Cables

for IP67 Torque Plus Motors

Use these instructions to install the series B IP67 cable seals on the

power input connector and the resolver or encoder output connector of

existing 460V 1326 IP67 motors. The seals must be used with the

following cables:

• 1326-xxx-L

• 1326-xxx-RAL

• 1326-xxx-RBL

• 1326-xxx-EL

• 1326-xxx-DL

Determining the Tools You Need

You will need a phillips screwdriver to install the components of the

IP67 Cable Seal Kit for your existing IP67 motor.

Identifying the Components of the IP67

Cable Seal Kit

The components are:

• eight replacement connector screws

• seal for the power input connector

• seal for the resolver or encoder output connector

The top view of the IP67 seals that you received is shown below:

If you ordered this kit and did not receive these components, contact

your local Allen-Bradley representative.

Connector Seals for Series B IP67 Cables for IP67 Torque Plus Motors 3 Mounting the Components of the Cable Seal Kit To mount the components on the input and output connectors: 1. Refasten the input and output connectors to the motor housing by using the eight screws provided. The table below shows the required torque for the mounting screws of each cable: Cable Screw Size Torque 1326-CCU-xxx M3 13-15 in-lb 1326-CPB1-xxx M3 13-15 in-lb 1326-CPC1-xxx M3.5 20-22 in-lb 2.

• the protruding lip (see 1 below) on the inner surface of each seal, which replaces the o-rings, is seated firmly in the o-ring groove (see 2 below). 1 2 Reconnecting the Motor To reattach your existing series B IP67 cables or attach your new series B IP67 cables to the connectors on the motor housing: 1. Push the input cable down onto the motor power connector until it is firmly seated. 2. Push the output cable down onto the resolver or encoder connector until it is firmly seated.
