Installation Considerations
This section focuses on some considerations for installing your Can-Am
Maverick X3 amplifier installation kit. This kit is designed to work in
conjunction with Rockford’s other X3 specific audio kits and parts.
If you feel unsure about installing this system yourself, have it installed
by a qualified technician.
When drilling holes, make sure what is on the other side. Be sure that
any electrical, fuel lines or any other important components are free
and clear from the area.
Before installation, disconnect the battery
negative (-) terminal to prevent damage to
the unit, fire and/or possible injury.
Before beginning any installation, follow
these simple rules:

instructions before attempting to install this
wiring kit.
• Consult your UTV’s service manual for model specific information.
Models may dier from year to year depending on factory options
and aermarket accessories added.
• This amplifier installation kit is specifically designed to work with
Rockford Fosgate’s compact chassis amplifiers.
• With the addition of an amplifier or source unit, be sure that your
current charging system is in proper working order.

Installation
Applicable Models:
Can-Am Maverick X3 (2 & 4 seat models)
This amplifier installation kit is designed to work with Rockford
Fosgate’s Maverick X3 specific enclosures and dash kits. The amp kit
can be installed in both 2 and 4 models under the dash to the le the
steering column.
Step 1. Remove the driver side top dash panel using your Torx tool.
Step 2. Next the fuse cover will need to be removed. Simply li up on
the front of the panel.
Step 3. Remove the seat(s) on the passenger side of the vehicle using
a ratchet and socket.
NOTE: On 4 seat models, both passenger side seats will need removed.
Step 4. Remove the access panels on the passenger side of the center
console.
NOTE: 2 seat models will have 3 panels to remove and the 4 seat models
will have 4.
Step 5. Mount the amplifier bracket to the vehicle’s chassis tube just
below the A-pillar area under the dash that is le of the power
steering unit. The bracket will be secured with the supplied
clamp system.
Step 6. Mount the amplifier to the bracket once the bracket is secured
to the vehicle.

Step 7. Connect the power and ground to the battery terminals and
route the wire harness down the center console toward the
front of the vehicle.
NOTE: The connectors for the radio input will get routed through the
fuse cover opening while the power and amplifier harness get routed
toward the drivers side. Be sure to secure all wiring with the supplied
plastic wire ties.
Step 8. Plug the power/ground and input/output harnesses into the
amplifier.
Step 9. Connect input connector(s) from the radio.
Step 10. Once all connections have been made, be sure to test the
system and reassemble vehicle.
