Considerations
This section focuses on some considerations for installing your
Polari
s
GENERAL
subwoofer kit. This subwoofer enclosure
is
designed
to
wo
rk
in conjunction with Rockford's other
GENERAL
specific audio kits and
parts.
If
you feel unsure about installing this system yourself, have
it
installed
by
a qualified technician.
When drilling holes, make sure what is on
the
other
side.
Be
sure
that
any electrical, fuel lines
or
any other
important
components are free
and clear from the area.

Installation

This front subwoofer enclosure
is
d
es
igned
to
work
with Rockford
Fosgate's
RFG
N
RL-K8
amplif
ier wiring kit. The enclosure is installed in
both 2-se
at
and 4-seat models on
the
passenger side
of
the vehicle
behind
the
dash and glove compartment.
Step
1.
Wire the s
ubwoof
er
to
the enclosure.
NO
TE
: Be s
ur
e
to
maintain proper polarity and
imp
edance
ra
ting
for
the amplifier being used for
thi
s install
at
ion. Refer
to
the subwoofer
manufacturer's manual for wiring schematics.
Step
2. Load
th
e subwoofer into
th
e enclosure using the supplied
screws
that
came with the woofer. The subwoofer protective
grille will
not
be installed.
Step
3. Remove the hood, upper dash
trim
front
d
ash
assembly and
pass
enger side seat,
gra
b bar and center console
trim
panel.
Step 4.
In
sta
ll the
mounting
plate to
the
top
of
the dash cross
members using the supplied hardware and brackets
to
existing factory mounting points.
NOTE
:
To
install the smaller bracket, a factory wire tie
will
ha
ve
to
be
removed and reinstalled once the bracket is in plac
e.
Step
5.
Lift the
woof
er enclosure in place from below the dash and
secure
to
the mounting plate using
the
supplied hardware.
Step
6.
Once
s
ecu
r
e,
the amplifier
ca
n be mounted
to
the mounting
plate and the s
ubwoof
er enclos
ur
e connected
to
th
e rear
output.
Step
7.
Power
up the
sys
tem
an
d verify all functions.
Once done, the
vehicle
ca
n be r
ea
sse
mbled in reverse order.
