Installation Considerations
This section focuses on some considerations
for
installing your Polaris
GENERAL
front speaker enclosures. These speaker enclosures are
designed
to
work
in conjunction
with
Rockford
's
other
GENERAL
specific
audio kits and parts.
If you feel unsure about installing this system you
rs

lf,
have
it
installed
by
a qualified technician.
When drilling holes, make sure what is
on
the
other
side.
Be
sure
that
any electrical, fuel lines
or
any other
important
components are free
and clear from
the
area.

These
front
speaker enclos
ur

are
designed
to
work with Rockford
Fosgate's
RFGNRL
-
K8
amp
lifier wiring kit and R
FG
NRL
-
PMXDK
dash kit.
The enclosure can be install
ed
in
both 2-seat and 4-seat models in
th
e
kick panels on
the
vehicle.
Step
1.
Remove the hood and
top
of
the dash. This will give you
access for routing
the
speaker wire
s.
Installation
Step
2.
Set
the speaker enclosure in
to
place.
NOTE:
The enclosures get installed below the dash,
up
aga
inst the
firewall and kick panel
of
the vehicle.
Step
3.
Ma
rk f
or
the three holes
to
be drilled, remove the enclosure
and
dr
ill.
Step
4.
Insert
the
spade connector side
of
the
speaker harness into
the
top
hole
of
the enclos
ur
e.
Step
5.
Insta ll the supplied foam pad to seal
up
the
enclosu
re.
Be
sure
to
leave enough wire to connect the speaker.
Step 6.
Sec
u
re
the
enclosure
us
ing supplied hardware.
Step 7. Connect the speaker harness
to
the speaker.
Step
8.
Sec
u
re
the speaker with
the
supplied speaker hardware.
Step 9.
Re
peat steps for the enclosure on the other side.
Step
10.
Feed
the speaker w
ir
e
up
in
to
the d
as
h and connect
to
either
the so
ur
ce
unit
or
amplifie
r.
Step 11. Power
up
and test the
sys
tem
Step 12.
Re
install the dash piece and hood.
