Transferring Data
The meter allows you to transfer all the data that you
have stored in its memory to your computer so this
information can be printed. It allows you to transfer data
directly to your computer using a specialized software
and interface cable.

Consider the following when using accessory equipment:
Do not run a glucose test when the Accu-Chek
Advantage Meter is connected to accessory
equipment.
Note to Healthcare Professionals
Follow the infection control procedures appropriate for
your facility.A drop of fresh,whole blood is required to
perform a blood glucose test. Fresh venous, capillary,
arterial or neonatal blood may be used. Caution should
be taken to clear arterial lines before blood is drawn.
Caution should be exercised in the interpretation of
neonate blood glucose values below 2.8 mmol/L. Blood
glucose determination with venous or arterial blood must
be performed within 30 minutes of sample collection.
Avoid air bubbles with the use of pipettes. Fresh venous
blood specimens containing the anticoagulants EDTA or
heparin are acceptable. lodoacetate or flouride/oxalate
are not recommended.
Note: For peritoneal dialysis patients
Peritoneal dialysis patients using dialysis solutions
containing icodextrin may get overestimated blood
glucose results when using the Accu-Chek Advantage
Meter.These patients are advised to use the Accutrend
GC Meter.
