Data Sheet

4. If you have issues with your phone/Android version and Bluetooth, with the
connection and disconnection that xBridge2 uses to save battery, you can try turning
BLE sleeping off. Use the “B” command in a serial terminal session to toggle BLE
sleeping on or off. Turning BLE sleeping off will cause higher battery drain.
However, the connection to the phone will remain stable as long as the bridge does
not go out of range of the phone. NOTE: The HM-1x Module will NOT show a
Green STATUS LED when the wixel is sleeping. This is an undocumented
“feature” of these modules when the serial lines are sent low, which the wixel
does when it goes to sleep to save battery.
5. Battery capacity indication in xDrip, as detected and calculated by xBridge2 is NOT
accurate. It is an indication only. This is because it depends on measuring the
battery voltage, rather than the current into and out of the battery.
Things to note are:
a. When the capacity indication is 100%, the battery may NOT be fully charged.
Always charge until your charger board indicates full charge with the green
LED.
b. When you stop charging, the capacity will rapidly drop. This is because the
voltage used to charge the battery is far higher than the battery’s operating
voltage. How far it drops will depend on how charged the battery is. Fully
charged, the capacity will drop to around 90% in a few hours, depending on
the capacity rating (mAh) of your battery.
c. Once the battery capacity indication reaches 30%, the battery will deplete
rapidly. Charge it as soon as possible when this value is reached.
