TheDFRobotShopRoverShieldistheideal“allinone”shieldforsmall,Arduinobasedmobile
robotdevelopment.TheshieldallowsyoutopoweryourArduinousinga3.7VLiPobatteryand
evenhasa3.7VLiPochargeronboard,allowingyoutochargethebatteryviaUSB.Theonboard
L298PHbridge(dualbrushedDCmotorcontroller)isperfectforcontrollingtwosmall,low
voltagegearmotorssuchasthoseofferedbyTamiya,andallowsforfullcontroloverspeedand
direction.AdditionalfeaturesincludeauniversalIRreceiver,XBeeheadersandanalogpins
brokenout(foreasyconnectiontosensors).Theshieldisdesignedtobeusedwitha
shieldcompatiblemicrocontrollersuchastheArduinoDuemilanove/Uno(soldseparately).
Wedonotsuggestusingtheshieldwithabreadboardorwithothershieldcompatible
microcontrollerswhichmaynothavethesamepinoutorvoltageasastandardArduino.When
stackingmultipleshields,orwhenusingtheshieldwithanArduinobasedboardwhichhas
additionalbuiltinfeatures,besuretocheckthepinswhichareused,assomemayinterferewith
oneanother.
