4. First Aid Measures
4.1 General Advice
First aid isupon rupture of sealed battery.
4.1.1 Eye contact
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15
minutes. Keep eye wide open while rinsing. Remove contact lenses, if present and
easy to do. Continue rinsing. Do not rub affected area. Seek immediate medical
attention/advice.
4.1.2 Skin Contact
Wash off immediately with plenty of water and soap for at least 15 minutes.
Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention if
irritation develops and persists.
4.1.3 Inhalation of Vented Gas
Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention immediately if symptoms occur. If
not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, (trained
personnel should) give oxygen.
4.1.4 Ingestion
Do NOT induce vomiting. Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a physician or
poison control center immediately.
