Base station Red Light Blinking Fast - Disconnected perimeter wire warning
Step 1
Check that power supply box green light is On, and all connections between the Power Supply
through the 50ft (15m) extension cord, to the base station, are connected well. Make sure Blue Plot
connector and its two perimeter wire ends/Blue tabs are connected well to base station.
Are the blue tabs connected well to the base station?
If YesGo to Step 2
If NoSecure all connectors back in place and observe whether the red-light blinking
changed to green.
Step 2
Make a small wire loop using extra blue tabs or crocodile connectors.
Does the light continue blinking Red?
If YesProceed to Step 3
If NoYou have a cut wire somewhere on the perimeter wire loop installed. Find the break
in the wire. If you can’t find the break in the wire - Install a new wire.
Step 3
Check for good connection not loose and no corrosion on the two perimeter wire ends/blue female
connector connecting to the base station tabs. Are all connections firm and without corrosion?
If YesProceed to Step 4
If NoShorten the wire ends by an inch and attach new blue shoes to them. Reconnect to
Base station tabs.
Step 4
Replace the existing base power supply extension cord and see if it fixed the issue
If YesProblem solved
If NoGo to Step 5
Step 5
Take a new Power Supply you know for a fact is good - and connect it to the Base Station (Small
green wire loop still connected representing a solid good perimeter wire loop). Does the Red light
continue blinking?
If YesReplace the Base Station board and check.
If NoProblem solved
