Change Vacuum Pump Oil
Formaximumvacuumpumpperformance,changethe
vacuumpumpoilafterevery10hoursofoperation.(The
unitwilldisplayapromptafter10hoursofoperation.)
1.PressMENU.Usethearrowkeystoselect
MAINTAIN VACUUMOIL,andpressSTART / YES.
Thedisplayshowshowlongthevacuumpumphas
operatedsincethelastoilchange:
PUMP OIL TIME X:XX
TIME REMAINING X:XX
CHANGE OIL?
2.PressSTART / YES.ThedisplayshowsVACUUM
OILCHANGETIME2:00,andcountsdowntozero.
Allow the vacuum pump to run until it automatically
stops.ThedisplaythenshowsDRAINOLDOILAND
ADD 5 OZ NEW OIL.
3.RefertoFigure16,andremovethebrassplugfrom
thevacuumpump’soilllport.(Thepumpdrains
fasterwhenvented.)
4.
Removetheoildrainttingcap,anddraintheoilinto
asuitablecontainerfordisposal.Replacethecap.
5.
Attachtheexibletubeandcaptotheoilbottle;pour
ve(5)ouncesofvacuumpumpoilintothellport.
6.PressSTART / YES.ThedisplayshowsFILLPUMP
TO CENTER OF SIGHT GLASS, and the vacuum
pumpstarts.Whilethevacuumpumpisrunning,
slowlyaddoiluntilthelevelrisestothecenterofthe
reservoir’ssightglass.
7.PressSTOP / NO.Thecounterresetstozeroaftera
vacuumpumpoilchangehasbeencompleted.
8.Replacethebrassplugonthellport.PressSTOP /
NOtoexittotheMainMenu.
CAUTION: To prevent personal injury, do NOT
operate the unit at any time without the brass plug
installed, because the vacuum pump is pressurized
during normal operation.

for pump oil. It is the responsibility of
the user to determine if a material is a
hazardous waste at the time of disposal.
