Introduction
RobinairNo.34788-HisusedonR-134avehiclesandisdesignedtobecompatiblewith
existingserviceequipmentandstandardserviceprocedures.ThisunitisaUL-listed,single-
passsystemthatmeetsSAEspecicationsforrecycledrefrigerant.FollowtheSAE-J2211
recommendedserviceprocedureforthecontainmentofR-134a.
Theunitincludesa1.5cfm(42l/m)Robinairhighvacuumpumpforfast,thoroughevacuation.
ThecompressorpullstheA/Csystemto0psig,thenworksinserieswiththevacuumpump
toachievehighlyefcientrecoveryandimmediaterecharge.Ifthesystemisnotopenedfor
service,thereisnoneedtopulladditionalvacuum.Ifthesystemisopenedforservice,use
theunit’svacuumcycletoremoveairandmoisturefromtheA/Csystem.(Werecommend
aminimum15-minutevacuum,orfollowthevehiclemanufacturer’sspecs.)Note: R-134a
systems require special oils. Refer to the A/C system manufacturer’s service manual for oil
specications.
