Using the radio for the rst time
Your radio is supplied with a Mains Adaptor.
1. Placeyourradioonaatsurface.
2. Insert the adaptor plug into the DC socket located on the rear of your
radio.
The mains adaptor is used to connect your apparatus to the AC mains
supply. In order to completely disconnect the apparatus from the AC
mains supply, the mains adaptor should be removed from the mains
socket outlet.
3. Fully extend the telescopic aerial located on the rear of your radio.
The aerial should be fully extended and positioned for optimum recep-
tion.
4. Plug the adaptor into a standard 13 amp mains socket outlet.
5. Whenyour radiois rstswitched onthe displaywill show"Setting
Clock"andastationsearchwillbeperformedautomatically.
6. When stations have been found, the clock information will appear
on the display. When the unit is in standby mode you can press the
Info/Menu button to toggle between showing the time only or showing
both the date and time.
7. Ifnostationshavebeenfound"clocknotset..."willbedisplayed.It
may then be necessary to relocate your radio to a position giving better
reception.Youshouldthencarryoutanautoscantondstationsas
described on page 8.
