SECTION 12: SERVICING
12.1 Servicing Instructions
After commissioning, the heater will require
maintenance to be carried out annually. If the heater
is used in a dirty or dusty area, more frequent
maintenance may be necessary.
Installation, Service and Annual Inspection of
heater must be done by a contractor qualified
in the installation and service of gas-fired heating
equipment.
NOTE 1: After any maintenance or repair work
always test fire the heater in accordance with the
commissioning instructions on Page 15, Section 10
through Page 17, Section 10.9 to ensure all safety
systems are in working order before leaving the
heater to operate. Minor faults may be traced by
using the troubleshooting charts on Page 22,
Section 14 through Page 25, Section 14.5.
NOTE 2: Check all gas pipes and pipe joints to
ensure there are no cracks or gas leaks. Any cracks
in the pipes or pipe joints must be repaired.
NOTE 3: Inspect all suspended components and
hardware. Insure that they are in good condition,
properly tightened, and corrosion free.
12.2 Burner Maintenance
1. Open the door and remove the burner compart-
ment cover. See Page 28, Section 15.2.
2. Clean any deposits from the main burner which
may have formed in the injectors or venturi of
the burner. See Page 28, Section 15.2.
3. Remove the ignition electrode and flame probe.
Check condition of ignition electrode and flame
probe. Clean off any deposits which may have
been formed, check condition of ceramic
insulators. Replace as necessary.
12.3 Fan/Motor Assembly Maintenance (all
models)
The main fan bearings are permanently sealed and
do not need lubrication. Before cleaning, turn off gas
and electrical supply. Remove the fan(s) and use a
small brush or duster to clean the fan blades from
each side. Replace fan(s) when done.
12.4 Heat Exchanger Maintenance
The heat exchanger will remain clean unless a
problem has developed with combustion. Inspect the
heat exchanger. Look for signs of overheating at the
front tubes which may indicate burner over firing or
persistently low air flows.
12.5 Gas Control Valve Maintenance (all models)
No regular maintenance is required on these
devices. To change gas control valves, See Page 27,
Step 15.1 and Page 31, Section 15.5.
Do not repair or disassemble on site.
Replace faulty gas valves with genuine
ROBERTS GORDON

replacement parts.
12.6 Flue Fan
The flue fan should not require maintenance.
However, if the air pressure switch is causing burner
lockout, then remove the flue fan from the vent box
by unscrewing the screw at the outlet flange and the
flue fan mounting plate (See Page 30, Section 15.4).
Ensure that the fan is free to run and that the fan
wheel is clean.

Cut Hazard
Turn off gas and electrical supply before maintenance.
Fan can start automatically at any time.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in severe
injury or product damage.

12.1 Uputstva za servisiranje
Nakon što je pušteno u rad, zagrejač zahteva
godišnje preglede. Ukoliko se zagrejač koristi u
prljavom ili prašnjavom prostoru, održava se češćim
pregledima. Instaliranje, servisiranje i godišnju
proveru obavlja kvalifikovano lice.

Opasnost od posekotina
Prekinite snabdevanje gasom i električnom energijom
pre održavanja.
Ventilator bi mogao automatski da se startuje u bilo kom
trenutku.
Nepridržavanje ovih uputstava može rezultirati opasnim
povredama ili oštećenjem proizvoda.
Napomena 1: Nakon provere/održavanja ili bilo
kakve popravke uvek testirajte paljenje grejnog tela
u skladu sa uputstvima o puštanju u rad na
strani15, odeljak 10 do strane 17, odeljak 10.3.1da
biste bili sigurni da sistem funkcioniše kako treba
pre nego što pustite zagrejač u rad. Manji kvarovi
mogu se otkriti korištenjem grafikona mogućih
kvarova i načina njihovog otklanjanja na strani 22,
odeljak 14 do strane 25, odeljak 14.5.
Napomena 2: Proveriti gasovod i sve veze kako bi
se uverili da nema naprsnuća i curenja. Svako
naprsnuće mora biti sanirano.
Napomena 3: Proverite sve komponente
postavljene u viseći položaj. Proverite da li su dobro
pričvršćene, u dobrom stanju i da nisu korodirale.
12.2 Održavanje gorionika
1. Otvorite vrata (sa šrakama) i sklonite poklopac
gorionika. Videti stranu 27, odeljak 15.2.
2. Očistite sve naslage glavnog gorionika koje su se
eventualno formirale u ubrizgaču ili venturi
gorionika. Videti stranu 27, odeljak 15.2.
3. Odstranite elektrodu i sondu plamena. Proverite
njihovo stanje. Očistite sve naslage koje su se
eventiualno formirale i proverite stanje keramičkih
izolatora. Zamenite ih ukoliko je potrebno.
12.3 Održavanje ventilatora/motora
Ležišta glavnog ventilatora su trajno plombirana i nije
im neophodno podmazivanje. Pre čišćenja, prekinite
dovode gasa i struje. Odstranite ventilator(e) i,
koristeći četkicu ili pajalicu, očistite lopatice sa svake
strane. Kada završite, vratite ventilatore.
12.4 Održavanje razmenjivača toplote
Razmenjivač toplote ostaje čist ukoliko se ne pojavi
problem sa sagorevanjem. Proverite razmenjivač
toplote. Pogledajte znake pregrejavanja na prednjim
cevima koji mogu ukazati na preteran plamen u
gorioniku ili duže vreme mali protok vazduha.
12.5 Održavanje ventila za kontrolu gasa
Ovi uređaji ne zahtevaju redovno održavanje. Da
biste promenili ventila za kontrolu gasa videti stranu
26, postupak 15.1 i stranu 30, odeljak 15.5.
Neispravne ventile zamenite originalnim
ROBERTS GORDON rezervnim delovima.
12.6 Ventilator cevi za sprovođenje otpadnih
gasova
Ventilator cevi za sprovođenje otpadnih gasova ne
zahteva nužno održavanje. Međutim, ukoliko prekidač
vazdušnog pritiska izazove blokadu gorionika, onda
uklonite ovaj ventilator odvrtanjem zavrtnja na
izlaznoj ivici i okvirnoj ploči. (videti stranu 29, odeljak
15.4). Proverite da li ventilator može nesmetano da
radi i da li je točak ventilatora čist.
