ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR
PORTER WALL SCONCE
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. SHUT OFF MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE
BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT A LICENSED
ELECTRICIAN INSTALL THIS FIXTURE.
2. Remove mounting plate (B) from backplate (A) by removing decorative nuts (C).
Set decorative nuts (C) aside.
3. Carefully pull the wiring from wall outlet box. Thread the wires through the center
hole in mounting plate (B).
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
*These instructions are provided for your safety. It’s important that all safety
instructions are read before beginning xture installation.
*We STRONGLY recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
*Turn off power at switch before replacing bulbs, making sure xture has had
sufcient time to cool down.
*Do not connect the electricity until lamp is fully assembled.

4. Afx mounting plate (B) to wall outlet box with mounting screws (E) provided.
5. Temporarily place backplate (A) over mounting plate (B). Make sure xture is level. Use a pencil to mark the location of tube (J)
onto the wall.
6. Drill a small hole at marked location on the wall. Hole should be sized so it can accommodate wall anchor (L), provided. Insert wall anchor into
drilled hole.
7. Thead screw (K) into wall anchor (L) so that the head of screw (K) protrudes 1/8” from wall.
8. Make proper electrical connections described in steps 9 - 11. A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.
9. Connect ground wire from xture (green or silver in color) to ground wire in the outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (N)
and tightly wrap the connection with electrical tape.
10. Attach hot wire from xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire
nut (N) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
11. Attach neutral wire from xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with
wire nut (N) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
12. Carefully push wiring connections back into wall outlet box.
13. Slide tube (J) over protruding screw (K). Slide backplate (A) over mounting plate (B). Thread decorative nuts (C) onto threaded
tubes (D) to secure xture to mounting plate.
14. Place shade (F) over backplate (A). Slide holes (H) over threaded tubes (I). Thread decorative nuts (G) onto threaded tubes (I) to
secure shade (F) to xture.
15. Insert two (2) 60W MAX. G16.5 candelabra base bulbs into sockets (M).
16. Reconnect main electrical supply at the fuse box/circuit breaker and test the xture.
** To clean, use a soft dry cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners as they may damage the nish. **
