ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR
VIENNA SEMI-FLUSH MOUNT
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
*These instructions are provided for your safety. It is very important that they are read completely before beginning the installation of
your xture.
*WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND INSTALLATION BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
*Turn o power at switch before replacing bulbs.
*If any special control devices are used with this xture, follow the instructions carefully to assure full compliance with N.E.C.
requirements. If there are any questions, contact a qualied electrical contractor.
*This xture is UL rated for dry locations.
1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2. Remove all parts from carton. Do not throw away any parts.
3. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (C) by removing screws (D). Set screws (D) aside.
4. Carefully pull wiring from outlet box. Thread wires through center hole in mounting plate (A).
5. Ax mounting plate (A) to outlet box using screws (B), provided.
6. Lift canopy (C) to outlet box and make proper electrical connections described in steps 7 - 9.
7. Connect ground wire from xture to ground wire in outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I) and wrap connection with electrical
tape.
8. Attach hot wire from xture to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I) and wrap connection with electrical tape.
9. Attach neutral wire from xture to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I) and wrap connection with electrical
tape.
10. Attach neutral wire from xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut
(I). Wrap connection with electrical tape.
11. Carefully push wire connections back through hole in the center of mounting plate (A). Slide canopy (C) over mounting plate (A). Thread
screws (D) into holes in canopy (C) to secure xture to ceiling.
12. Install four (4) 60W max. Type B, candelabra base bulbs into sockets.
13. Unthread each ball detail (H) from shade arms (F). Set ball details (H) aside.
14. Starting from the bottom of the shade (J), slide glass (G) onto an arm (F). Use a ball detail (H) to secure glass (G) to the frame. NOTE:
Due to variation in the thickness of glass, it may be necessary to thread washer (E) out towards the end of the arm (F) so glass strands can
be held securely in place between the ball detail and the washer. Do not over tighten ball detail (H) when installing glass as doing so can
cause the glass panels to crack. Repeat step for remaining glass (G).
15. Reconnect main electrical supply at the fuse box/ circuit breaker and test the xture.
