*These instructions are provided for your safety. It’s important that
they are read completely before beginning installation of xture.
*If any special control devices are used with this xture, follow the
instructions carefully to assure full compliance with N.E.C.
requirements. If there are any questions, contact a qualied electrical
contractor.
*We strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
*This xture is UL rated for dry locations.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR
MILANO TWINKLY WALL SCONCE
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE
MAIN FUSE BOX/ CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2. Remove all parts from carton and discard packing materials. Place the parts on a level surface.
3. Remove mounting plate (A) from backplate (D) by unthreading decorative nuts (C). Set decorative
nuts (C) aside.
4. Carefully pull wires from the wall outlet box and thread them through the center hole in mounting
plate (A).
5. Ax mounting plate (A) to wall outlet box with mounting screws (B) provided.
6. Lift backplate (D) to the mounting plate and make the proper electrical connections noted in steps
7 through 9. A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.
7. Attach ground wire from xture (green or copper in color) to ground wire from outlet box. Fasten
wires together with wire nut (J) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
8. Attach hot wire from xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box.
Fasten wires together with wire nut (J) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
9. Attach neutral wire from xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet
box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (J) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
Gently push wire connections back into the wall outlet box.
10. Place backplate (D) over mounting plate (A). Rethread decorative nuts (C) onto threaded tubes
(K) to secure backplate to the mounting surface.
11. Install one 60W MAX. Type G, candelabra base bulb into the socket (F).
12. Carefully attach the glass pieces to frame (E). Hang the glass pieces by threading chains onto
frame (E). See Figure 1 for correct placement.
** To clean, use soft cloth only. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners. **

13. Hang all long chains (I) (5 total) on Row 1 (back row).
14. Hang all medium chains (H) (7 total) on Row 2 (middle row).
15. Hang all short chains (G) (9 total) on Row 3 (front row).
16. Reconnect main electrical supply at the fuse box/ circuit breaker and test the
xture.
