SPUTNIK FLUSH MOUNT/ SCONCE

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:

* These instructions are provided for your safety.

* It is very important that they are read completely before beginning the installation of your ﬁ xture.

* WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND INSTALLATION BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.

* Turn off power at switch before replacing bulbs, making sure ﬁ xture has had sufﬁ cient time to cool down.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. SHUT OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/ CIRCUIT BREAKER.

2. Remove all parts from carton and discard packing materials.

3. Place parts on a level surface. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (D) by unthreading nut (F) and ﬁ nial (G). Set nut and ﬁ nial aside.

4. Carefully pull wires from the outlet box and thread them through mounting plate (A).

5. Afﬁ x mounting plate (A) to outlet box with mounting screws (C) provided.

6. Lift the ﬁ xture to the mounting plate and make the proper electrical connections noted in steps 7 through 9.

A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.

7. Attach ground wire from ﬁ xture (green or copper in color) to ground wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I) and

tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.

8. Attach hot wire from ﬁ xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I)

and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.

9. Attach neutral wire from ﬁ xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut

(I) and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.

10. Gently push wires back into the outlet box.

11. Place canopy (D) over mounting plate (A). Threaded tube (B) will protrude through the center of canopy (D).

12. Make sure canopy (D) sits ﬂ ush to mounting surface. Thread nut (F) onto the exposed portion of tube (B) to secure the ﬁ xture to the

mounting surface. Use wrench (J) to tighten nut (F). Thread ﬁ nial (G) over nut (F). Carefully thread arms (H) into holes in canopy (D).

13. Install (12) 40W MAX. G16.5 candelabra base bulbs into sockets (E).

14. Reconnect main electrical supply at the fuse box/ circuit breaker and test the ﬁ xture.

** To clean, use soft cloth only. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners. **
