Installation Guide

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
* PLEASE NOTE: This fi xture can be hung vertically or horizontally.
1. SHUT OFF MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2. Remove all parts from carton and discard packing materials. Place the parts on a protected work surface.
3. Remove mounting plate (A) from shade (D) by removing screws (H). Set screws (H) aside.
4. Remove socket assembly (B) from mounting plate (A) by unthreading spheres (C) from threaded tubes (F). Set spheres (C) aside.
5. Place the mounting plate (A) against the mounting surface so it is aligned with the wall outlet box. Once aligned, check to make sure that
the mounting plate is level. When proper placement has been confi rmed, use a pencil to mark the locations of the mounting plate support
holes (G) onto the mounting surface.
6. Set the mounting plate aside and drill small holes at the marked locations. Holes should be sized so anchors (J) fi t securely inside.
7. Push anchors (J) into the holes.
8. Carefully pull the wiring from the wall outlet box. Thread the wires through the center hole in mounting plate (A).
9. Affi x mounting plate (A) to wall outlet box with mounting screws (E) provided.
For additional support, thread screws (K) through holes (G)
and into wall anchors (J).
10. Lift the socket assembly (B) to the mounting plate and make proper electrical connections described in steps 11 - 13.
A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.

Attach ground wire from fi xture (green or copper in color) to ground wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I) and
tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
12. Attach hot wires from fi xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I) and
tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
13. Attach neutral wires from fi xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (I)
and tightly wrap connection with electrical tape.
14. Carefully push wire connections back into wall outlet box. Slide socket assembly (B) over threaded tubes (F). Use spheres (C) to secure the
socket assembly to the mounting plate.
15. Install two 40W MAX. Type B, medium base bulbs into the sockets.
16. Place shade (D) over mounting plate (A). Use screws (H) to secure the shade to the mounting plate.
17. Reconnect main electrical supply at the fuse box/circuit breaker and test fi xture.
* To clean, use a soft dry cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners.*

* We STRONGLY recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
* Turn off power at switch before replacing bulbs, making sure fi xture has had suffi cient time to cool down.
* Do not connect the electricity until lamp is fully assembled.
