ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR
GOSSAMER SCONCE
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. SHUT OFF MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT BREAKER.
2. Remove all parts from the carton. Remove mounting plate (A) from back plate (B) by removing screws (C). Set screws (C) aside.
3. Remove nut (E) from the back of arm (F). Thread wires exiting arm (F) through the hole in the center of back plate (B). Carefully fi t arm (F) into
the opening in back plate (B). From the back of back plate (B), re-attach nut (E) to the threaded portion of arm (F).
4. Carefully pull the wiring from wall outlet box. Thread the wires through the center hole in mounting plate (A).
5. Affi x mounting plate (A) to wall outlet box using mounting screws (D) provided.
6. Lift fi xture to outlet box and make proper electrical connections described in steps 7 - 9. A licensed electrician is recommended.
7. Connect ground (green or silver in color) wire from fi xture to ground wire in the outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (J) and tightly
wrap the connection with electrical tape.
8. Attach hot wire from fi xture (black in color or smooth side of wire) to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (J) and tightly
wrap connection with electrical tape.
9. Attach neutral wire from fi xture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (J) and
tightly wrap connection with electrical tape. Carefully push wire connections back into wall outlet box.
10. Slide back plate (B) over mounting plate (A). Thread screws (C) into vacant holes at the top and bottom of back plate (B) to secure the fi xture to
the mounting surface.
11. Un-thread fl ange (I) from socket (G). Place shade (H) onto socket (G) and reattach fl ange (I) to secure shade to fi xture.
12. Insert one 100W MAX. Type A bulb into the socket.
12. Reconnect main electrical supply from the fuse box/circuit breaker and test fi xture.
** To clean, use a soft dry cloth. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners as they may damage the fi nish. **
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
* These instructions are provided for your safety. It’s important that all instructions are read before beginning fi xture installation.
* We STRONGLY recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
* Turn off power at switch before replacing bulbs, making sure fi xture has had suffi cient time to cool down.
* Do not connect the electricity until the fi xture is fully assembled.
