10. PROGRAMMING THE BIT CHIP / KEY “EDIT BID”
To configure the connected BID chip / key you have to select the “EDIT BID” menu. The
following parameters can then be set:
SETTING THE BATTERY TYPE AND THE CELL COUNT
At this point you can set the battery type and the
associated cell count. Pressing the “ENTER” button
selects the first parameter ‘Battery type’. You can
now set the desired type using the “+” / “-” buttons
or the “SELECT WHEEL”. Pressing the “ENTER” button again accepts the selected type,
and automatically moves on to the second parameter ‘Cell count’. The number of cells in
the pack can now be selected using the “+” / “-” buttons or the “SELECT WHEEL”. Finally
the “ENTER” button must be pressed in order to accept your selected data.
SETTING THE BATTERY CAPACITY
When you press the “ENTER” button the variable
parameter flashes. You can now select the appro-
priate battery capacity using the “+” / “-” buttons or
the “SELECT WHEEL”. Press the “ENTER” button
again when you are finished.
SELECTING THE CHARGE CURRENT
This parameter is used to set the charge current;
pressing the “ENTER” button selects the parameter.
You can now set the desired charge current using
the “+” / “-” buttons or the “SELECT WHEEL”.
Pressing the “ENTER” button again accepts your selected value. Note that the maximum
charge current varies according to the cell count and / or the battery voltage. The charg-
er’s integral processor limits the maximum charge current.
SETTING THE DISCHARGE CURRENT
This parameter is used to set the discharge current;
pressing the “ENTER” button selects the parameter.
You can now set the desired discharge current
using the “+” / “-” buttons or the “SELECT WHEEL”.
Pressing the “ENTER” button again accepts your selected value. Note that the maximum
discharge current varies according to the cell count and / or the battery voltage. The
charger’s integral processor limits the maximum discharge current.
