In the Event of a Battery Fire:
The RO-Safety will vent a white ltered smoke with an odor during a battery re. The
exhaust gasses are ft.. hot, so keep away until battery combustion is complete. The
combustion may stop and spontaneously start again. A signicant reduction of smo-
ke coming from vent holes will indicate battery re is complete, but unless 10 minutes
have passed, uncombusted parts of the battery may restart to produce smoke. The
products of combustion can be harmful especially if conned to a small space. Imme-
diately open doors and windows to help disperse battery exhaust. Contacting the sur-
faces of RO-Safety during a battery re may cause skin burns. Allow RO-Safety to cool
before taking outside to remove damaged battery. Do not open RO-Safety during a
battery re and wait at least 20 minutes after smoke production has completely
stopped before opening the RO-Safety.
Preparation for Use:
1. Unbox RO-Safety and remove all protective packing materials.
2. Remove parts from inside RO-Safety.
3. If installing charger stand, place tabs in vent holes and use supplied Velcro to attach
charger stand to back of RO-Safety lid.
4. If installing your charger onto charger stand, use supplied Velcro to attach. Ensure
charger does not interfere with exhaust holes.
5. The wire way seal comes with pull handles for ease of installation. Place charger
wires between each half of wire way and then pull wire and wire way seal through
the opening in the top of the lid of the box ~ into position. Ensure no gaps exist and
the upper and lower lip of the wire way is properly seated.
6. Connect charger and balancing wires as usual. Ensure no wires pass over of battery
exhaust holes .
7. Place RO-Safety on a re resistant surface and allow at least 12 inches of clearance
space above lid.
8. Charge batteries as recommended in charger instructions.
It should be noted:
Battery res are extremely rare. Do not let this lead to carelessness during charging.
Use the RO-Safety as intended every time you charge! Do not provoke a battery re
inside the RO-Safety on purpose!

RO-Safety Owner‘s Manual
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING
THE RO-SAFETY
WARNING:
Read the ENTIRE instruction manual to become familiar with the features of the pro-
duct before using Failure to use this product correctly can result m personal property
damage and or serious injury. This product is not intended for use by children without
direct adult supervision. Do not alter this product in any way outside of the instructions
provided by Robbe.
Safety Notice:
Charging lithium batteries is inherently dangerous and using RO-Safety will not guaran-
tee damage to property or serious injury will be prevented. RO-Safety was designed to
signicantly reduce chances of damage to property that may occur during a battery
re. Keep RO-Safety clear from ammable objects, vapors, and liquids.
Design and Function:
The RO-Safety is a double wall steel insulated box to contain the heat of a battery re.
In the event of a battery re, smoke and hot exhaust fumes are vented through the
top of the box. The top of the box has been designed to lter, arrest ame and diffuse
the hot exhaust gasses to prevent jets of ame or soot from escaping. In the event of a
re there will be a large quantity of hot white smoke released through the vent holes.
So ensure there is a clear space (1ft/30cm) above the lid. The products of combusti-
on can be harmful so windows and/or doors should be open to allow smoke to clear
the area. Persons with lung conditions or owners of susceptible domestic pets (such as
birds) should take prudent precautions.
Using RO-Safety:
Follow your battery and charger instructions while using RO-Safety.
Ensure RO-Safety is on a ame resistant surface.
Ensure vent holes in lid are 1ft/30cm away from any ammable object.
Ensure lid is closed and latched while charging or storing batteries.
Ensure wire way is installed and fully seated.
Do not use a damaged RO-Safety
CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING CAN BE FATAL:
Carbon Monoxide detectors are available for use in domestic premises. Due conside-
ration should be given to the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning following incom-
plete combustion of fuels in an enclosed space. A lipo battery re will produce hazar-
dous amounts of carbon monoxide in a conned space.
Maximum Battery Size:
RO-Safety: Do not charge or store more than two 65 (22.2V) S000mAh lithium polymer
batteries or an equivalent amount of lithium batteries (below 220Wh) at one time.
RO-Safety XL: You can charge and store up to a 6pc 6S 5000mAh equivalent (666Wh)
safely inside the RO-Safety XLarge.
The RO-Safety is intended to reduce chances of damage in the event of a re.
Do not provoke a battery re on purpose inside the RO-Safety
