PREFACE
Milan the electric glider in classic Laser-Cut wood construction. Design by: Pietro Tescari.
Milan is an elegant electric glider in the 2-meter class that responds excellently to thermals. Construc-
ting the Milan is easy, due to the laser cut wooden parts. The well thought out construction, leads to
a quick assembly. The balsa wood planking on both sides of the wings, from the leading edge to the
main spar, results in a light and but stiff construction. The wing is constructed in 3 parts with a middle
section and slip-on wings. This allows the model to be conveniently transported.
The fuselage is built in the classic stable wooden construction. The curved side panels provide an
elegant appearance. The tail unit is screwed to the fuselage and can be removed if desired. This ma-
kes the Milan not only an electric glider suitable for everyday use, but also the ideal companion for
holidays. The Milan is equipped with a light brushless motor (such as the Ro-Power Torque 2834/880KV)
which uses an 11 x 8“ folding propeller. The 2100 mAh 3s LiPo battery is inserted into the fuselage over
a removable fuselage cover.

FLIGHT INSTRUCTIONS
• Before the rst ight, observe the instructions in the „Safety Instructions“ section.
• When ying the model, you should choose a day with as little wind as possible
• A large, at area without obstacles (trees, fences power lines etc.) is suitable for the rst ights.
• Please carry out a functional test of the drive train / power set and remote control.
• After assembling the model on the aireld, check once again that all model components such as
wing, tail units, wing mounts, engine, linkages, etc. are rmly and properly fastened.
• For a hand start a helper should be present, who can throw the model with enough thrust into the
air.
• The start usually takes place against the wind.
• Do not stall the model near the ground
• Do not initiate tight turns in the immediate vicinity of the ground.
• Check the reactions of the model to the rudder deections. If necessary, adjust after landing to
increase or decrease the deections accordingly.
• The minimum ight speed must be at an adequate safety altitude.
• Initiate the landing with sufcient speed
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
• Do not immerse the battery in water or other liquids.
• Do not heat, throw into re or microwave.
• Do not short-circuit or charge with reversed polarity
• Do not expose, deform or throw the battery
• Do not solder directly on the battery
• Do not change or open the battery
• Only charge the battery with suitable chargers, never connect it directly to a power supply unit.
• Never charge or discharge the battery or charger on a ammable surface.
• Never leave the battery unattended during charging or discharging processes.
• Never charge or discharge the battery in direct sunlight or near heaters or re.
• Do not use the battery in places subject to high static discharge.
All this can cause the battery to be damaged, explode or even catch re!
• Keep the battery away from children
• Keep leaked electrolyte away from re, as it is highly ammable and may ignite.
• The electrolyte liquid should not get into the eyes, if it does, rinse immediately with plenty of clear
water and then see a doctor.
• The electrolyte liquid can also escape from clothes and other objects with a lot of water or washed
off.
• Observe the safety instructions of the battery manufacturer and the charger manufacturer.
The Milan allows an easy adjust of the center of gravity without the need for a trim weight. With
approx. 980g take-off weight, a safe hand launch is possible. After approx. 15 - 20 sec. of throttle,
you can easily reach a ight altitude of approx. 150 m. Even small thermals can be easily own with
the Milan. In addition to the ailerons in the outer wings, the wing middle section has aps that can
be extended up to 90°. This allows safe landings on small landing elds despite the excellent glide
characteristics.
Key Features:
• Wooden construction from lasered components
• Wings in modern comb spar construction with stable leading edge
• Robust construction for high suitability for everyday use
• Good to very good thermal performance
• Inexpensive power set-up with very long motor running time
• 3-part Wings, with easy assembly of the outer wings with magnet support
• Easy to remove tail unit
• Easily accessible battery compartment through removable cover
• Very easy to land due to the included 90° movable aps
