6. Press the BLUETOOTH® button on the RKCBBT until the LED blinks red/blue
alternately indicating it is in "pairing mode"
7. It may take 10 to 60 seconds for the RKCBBT and the headset to pair. Once paired
the RKCBBT BLUETOOTH® LED will flash red and the headset will inform you that
it has connected either by beeping or a voice prompt.
8. Turn on the VOX function by pressing the VOX button on the RKCBBT (the LED
will light red) and speak into the headset mic to confirm connection. You will see
the S/RF meter on the RKCBBT screen rise indicating a broadcast. At this point,
Wireless-PTT is not yet paired, so Headset works with VOX only.
9. Press the button on the Wireless-PTT. The flashing RED BLUETOOTH® LED on the
RKCBBT stops and changes to blue and stays lit.
10. Press the PTT button speak into the RKING940 mic to confirm connection. You
will see the S/RF meter on the RKCBBT screen rise indicating a broadcast and
may also hear yourself if you are using the "talkback" function.
11. The PTT is now connected, you can now use the VOX function or the remote
PTT to transmit.
12. Turn on the BLUETOOTH ® function on the phone and reconnect to headset as
normal. This may take up to 60 seconds or depending on the phone's operating
system. You may have to choose to connect in the phone's settings section.
DAILY CONNECTION NOTES USING THE INCLUDED RKING940
AND OTHER BLUETOOTH® VERSION 5.0 HEADSETS
After being away from your radio with you headset/phone you will need to recon-
nect to the RKCBBT. Simply turn the radio on and hit the BLUETOOTH ® button on
the RKCBBT, it will automatically connect in 2-30 seconds. If it does not, cycle the
·headset on/off and connect again to radio and phone
