FIRST
TIME
PAIRING
CONNECTION
TO
THE
RKCBBT
AND
A
PHONE
USING
THE
SUPPLIED
RKING940
HEADSET
OR
A
CUSTOMER
OWNED HEADSET
WITH
A
BLUETOOTH®
VERSION
OF
5.0
OR
HIGHER.
NOTE:
• The
supplied
RKING940 and wireless
PTT
are already paired
to
the
supplied
RKCBBT
radio.
1.
Turn
off
the
RKCBBT.
2.
Turn
off
the
RKING940.
3.
Turn
off
BLUETOOTH®
function
on
the
phone.
4.
Press
and
hold
the
multi-function
button
on
the
RKING940 headset
until
the
headset
says
"pairing mode':
the
LED
on
headset
will
blink
red/blue.
5.
Turn
on
the
BLUETOOTH®
function
on
the
phone
and
look
for
the
RKING940,
select
the
RKING940
to
connect
it
to
your
phone.
If
asked,
enter
the
code "0000"
or
"8888': The headset
will
give
the
voice
prompt
"connected':
6.
Confirm connection
to
the
phone
by
placing a call
or
some
other
means.
7.
Turn
on
the
RKCBBT.
8.
Press
the
BLUETOOTH®
button
on
the
RKCBBT
radio.
After
5
to
20 seconds
the
headset
will
say "connected':
9.
The
RKCBBT
BLUETOOTH®
LED
will
flash "red':
10. Turn
on
the
VOX
function
by
pressing
the
VOX
button
on
the
RKCBBT
(the
LED
will
light
red)
and
speak
into
the
RKING940 headset
mic
to
confirm
connection.
You
will
see
the
S/RF
meter
on
the
RKCBBT
screen rise
indicating
a broadcast.
At
this
point,
Wireless-PTT is
not
yet
paired,
so
Headset works
with
VOX
only.
