Your
new
RKCBBT
radio is ready
to
use
"out
of
the
box"
and
is
paired
with
the
included
RKING940 headset and wireless
PTT
. However,
if
you
wish
to
use
your
own
headset
or
connect
the
included RKING940
to
a
phone
also,
there
are procedures
that
need
to
be
followed
in
a specific
order
for
the
unit
to
operate
as
designed
and intended. Please select
your
preferred
operating
situation
below
and
follow
the
instructions
very
carefully.
It
is recommended
that
you
read
the
included user
manual before
operation
to
understand and
get
the
best experience
from
your
radio
and
headset. Before starting
the
set
up
for
the
BLUETOOTH®
headset make
sure
the
RKCBBT
is
properly
installed and
the
SWRs
have been
tuned
using
the
hand
held
mic. Instructions
on
how
to
set
the
SWR
is
on
page 23
of
the
manual.
USING
THE
RKCBBT
AND
THE
SUPPLIED
RKING94O
WITHOUT
PAIRING
TO
A
PHONE
(you can always
add
one
later)
1. Turn
on
the
RKCBBT.
2.
Press
the
BT
button
on
the
radio
momentarily
till
the
LED
blinks
RED
once,
when
you
let
go
it
will
start
blinking
BLUE
3.
Press
and
hold
the
multi-function
button
on
the
RKING940 headset
until
the
voice
prompt
says
"power
on':
4. The headset
will
automatically
connect
to
the
RKCBBT
and
the
voice
prompt
will
say
"connected': (It
may
take 1
Oto
60 seconds
for
the
RKCBBT
and
the
RKING940
to
connect.)
5.
Turn
on
the
VOX
function
by
pressing
the
VOX
button
on
the
RKCBBT
(the
LED
will
light
red) and speak
into
the
RKING940
mic
to
confirm
connection. You
will
see
the
S/RF
meter
on
the
RKCBBT
screen rise
indicating
a broadcast.
At
this point,
Wireless-PTT
is
not
yet
paired, so Headset works
with
VOX
only.
