The refrigerator operates on either propane or 120VAC. It does not run on 12VDC from the
auxiliar y battery,butneeds12VDCforthecontrolstooperate.
It is recommended to use the AUTO mode to operate the refrigerator. The AUTO mode will
selectthepowersource(propaneor120VAC)automatically.120VACelectricaloperationisonly
possiblewithelectricalhookuporifthegeneratorisrunning.
DOMETIC®–Refrigerator
To turn the refrigerator on, push in the ON button. Push in the mode button to “AUTO”
operation.The“AUTO”light(A)willbelit.In“AUTO”operationtherefrigeratorrunsonpropane
andswitchesautomaticallyto120V ACwhenavailable.
Incasethechecklight(B)ison,turnofftherefrigerator,verifyyouhave
enoughpropaneandthetankmainvalveisopen.Waitabout45seconds
andthenturnitbackon.
Toimprovecooling,movethetemperaturesensorinsidetherefrigerator
up. Should the sensor hang down too far, the refrigerator maynot cool
sufficiently.
NORCOLD®–Refrigerator
ToturntherefrigeratorON,movethepowerswitch(1)tothe“AUTO”position.ThegreenON
light (3) will turn on and the orange GAS light (4) will come on if the motor home is not
connectedto120VAC.
Ifneeded,adjustthetemperature(2).
In case the GAS
light (4) is blinking, turn the refrigerator
off, verify you have enough propane and the tank main
valve is open. Wait about 45 seconds and then turn it
backon.
