The high power RND 560-00219 electronically temperature controlled soldering staon with touchscreen
incorporates a special intelligent chip microcomputer control design was developed to meet the present and
future Lead-free soldering needs of the electronic producon industry and suitable for work on professional
SMD electronics. The ergonomic handle with a short distance between heang element and p allows very
fast heat up me and quick heat dispersion. The high-quality sensor and heat transfer technology ensure
precise temperature regulaon that is essenal for making consistent, reliable soldering connecons. The
aluminium alloy housing has advantages of strong structure, good heat sinking, and eecve resistance from
electro-magnec interference. It provides all the benets of temperature regulaon and connects via a
highly exible burn-resistant Silicone (rubber) lead.
The RND 560-00219 incorporates electronic circuitry which enables the user to alter p temperature from
100 to 500°C without changing ps or heang elements. The LCD touchscreen on the front panel provides a
user with a clear vision and convenient funcon seng controls. The temperature is maintained within +/-3°
of its operang temperature by a thermocouple sensor placed in the head of the heang element, allowing
the p to rest against the sensor. The 150W/180W high power output results in both a rapid heat-up and
super-fast recovery.
The revoluonary “Zero Voltage” electronic switching design also protects voltage and current sensive
components (CMOS devices. etc.) against damaging current and transient voltage spikes commonly pro-
duced by less ecient, mechanically switched staons. The power unit is isolated from the A.C. line by a
transformer and allows only 36Vac to drive the heang element. The temperature “Lock-out” feature by
“password” is convenient for producon management. The many features of the RND 560-00219 make it
the ideal tool for service and repair technicians as well as producon line soldering operaons. This unit is
developed to meet the present and future lead-free soldering needs of the electronic producon industry,
and is ideal for use at any AC outlet.
