Tone Generator
1
• Red and black test leads are provided, plus a standard 4 conductor modular core
and plug.
• Switchless with Smart Control Panel,
1. Funcon Mode indicator LED *3 to indicate
Polarity, Tone and Connuity.
2. Telephone Line Polarity Indicator LED to
indicate Normal or Revise status.
3. Baery Power Low indicator LED to indicate
baery level.
4. Funcon Mode Select Key Switch *1 for
deciding Polarity, Tone and Connuity...
A) To Start the Funcon Mode is powered OFF.
B) Press the “MODE” key to decide Funcon Mode, repeang the menu cycle
(Polarity - Tone - Connuity - Power Turn OFF)
C) When Tone sounds, press “Mode” key and hold 3 seconds to change the
melody of Tone.
• IDENTIFYING TIP & RING (SWITCH TO (Polarity Idenfy)):
Use the (Alligator clips)/(RJ-11 Plug) with 2-Wires to Idenfy TIP & RING:
1. Connect the RED test lead to the side of one line and the BLACK lead to the side of
another line
2. The LED will glow “GREEN” when you connect the RED test lead to the RING SIDE of
the line
3. The LED will glow “RED” when you connect the RED test lead to the TIP SIDE of the
line.
• IDENTIFYING LINE CONDITION (SWITCH TO (POLARITY IDENTIFY)):
Use the (Alligator Clips)/(RJ -11 Plug) with 2-wires to idenfy Line Condion:
1. Connect the RED test lead to the RING SIDE of the line and the BLACK test lead to the TIP
SIDE
2. Watch the LED:
a) A BRIGHT “GREEN” LED indicates a CLEAR line.
b) no Lamp indicates a CLEAR line
c) A BRIGHTLY FLICKERING “Yellow” lamp indicates a RINGING line.
