SECTION 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Suitable extinguishing media
: Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local cir-
cumstances and the surrounding environment.
Further information : Collect contaminated fire extinguishing water separately. This
must not be discharged into drains.
Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must
be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
The product is a solid article that will burn if exposed to an
ignition source of sufficient heat and intensity, or open flame,
such as a welder’s torch. Under certain fire conditions, com-
bustible gases can be generated, creating rapidly spreading,
high-intensity flames and dense, black smoke. Burning of this
product can produce irritating and potentially toxic fumes and
gases, including carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide; other
undetermined hydrocarbon fractions could be released in
small quantities.
