Oil Water Interface Meters by Heron and by Solinst
The Heron unit is tested and accepted by the industry. It will accurately measure the thickness
of product layers in (LNAPL) and sinking layers in (DNAPL). This unit is field serviceable and
backed with a limited 10 year warranty. The tape and probe will withstand attack by hydrocar-
bons, solvents and other sample contaminants commonly found in wells. This meter can detect
and measure a 1mm layer up to 1/200ft. Certified intrinsically safe to CSA/NRTL standards.
Unit is sold complete with carrying bag and cleaning kit.
Solinst Oil/Water interface meter accurately measure product level and thickness in wells or
tanks. This unit is CSA approved for use in hazardous locations Class 1, Groups C&D.
The tape is easy to read and comes in 1/100ft markings with (5/8” diameter) probe. Tape
lengths are 50-1500ft. Unit is sold complete with carrying bag and tape guide.
Heron’s Sm.OIL. Oil/Water Interface Meter Small size but big features. Heron’s small interface
meter is an economical unit that will measure to 60ft(20m) below the top of the well, making it
ideal for shallow wells or high water tables. The Sm.Oil interface meter measures the thickness
of floating or sinking layers of hydrocarbon products in the groundwater. Many of these instru-
ments are used by refineries, oil spill and remediation companies, land fills and site clean up
projects.
