This section will provide the necessary information to quickly set up the basic Outdoor Reset 
function.
OncetheboilerTiershavebeenstructured,theOutdoorResetfunctioncanbeadded.
1. The outdoor sensor must be wired
and turned on by pressing the TURN
ON OUTDOOR SENSOR bu tton. Note
that
the outdoor sensor location is
boiler 2 sensor 3 by default. See the 
OnTracInstallationGuide (34‐151)for
wiring details. Once the sensor is
connected confirm that the
temperatureisregisteringhere.
2. The default outdoor temperature at
which the  function will begin to reset
the system set point OUTDOOR
 TEMPERATURE THRESHOLD is 30°F. Change this value as
required.
3. TheMAXIMUMSHIFTOFSETPOINTissetat10°F.Astheoutdoortemperaturedropsthiswill
bethemaximumincreaseintheSystemSetPointallowed.Changethisvalueasrequired.
4. The OUTDOOR TEMP BAND  WIDTH is the tem perature
range below the OUTDOOR TEMP
THRESHOLDoverwhichOnTrac
® willresetoftheSetPoint.
5. The OUTDOOR SHUTDOWN TEMP is the outdoor temperature at which the OnTrac
®  will
disableallboileroperation.
6. WhenthesettingsarechosenandenteredturnonthefunctionOUTDOORRESET.
Example: Using the settings above, when the outdoor temperature drops below 30°F, the System Set
Pointwillincrease1°Fforeverydecreaseinoutdoortemperatureof2°F.Thisadjustmentwilloccur
until
theoutdoortemperaturereaches10°F.
TheSETPOINTBEFORERESETandSETPOINTAFTERRESETdisplayboxeswillgivearealtimeindicationof
theadjustmentthatisoccurring.



