The OnTrac can be connected to a Building Automation System via Ethernet and the Modbus TCP/IP
protocol. This feature comes standard with all OnTrac models. The RJ45 connector is located in the
controlenclosureonthesideofthePLCasshownbelow.ThedefaultIPsettingareasfollows:

If it is necessary to change the defa ult address, you will need following items: The OnTrac
programming cable (p/n114514) and the EZPLCNetConfig utility free for download. Follow the
instructionsbelow.
1. Turnofftheon/offswitchonthe
OnTrac.
2. Unplug the communication cable
fromthePLC.
3. Plug in the programming cable as
shown.
4. The other end of the programming
cableisa9pinserialconnector.The
PC should have a serial port or a
USB to serial adapter can be
purchasedinexpensively.
5. The EZPLCNetConfig application
can be downloaded for free. Go to the following site:
http://flash.ezautomation.net/manuals.php.
6. Register and then down load EZPLCNetConfig. The dialog box below illustrates the use of this
utility.Oncethedesiredaddressisentered,pressthe“ProgramEthernetAttributesintoEZPLC”
buttontochan gethesettings.
