Appendix 1: Running costs
Running costs can play an important part in the purchase decision. Based on the
information in the table below, calculate for yourself the approximate running cost of a
Rinnai appliance, and approximate hours a 45 kg LPG bottle will last.

Running cost scenario: Energysaver 559FT
During the cooler months the Energysaver runs for approximately two hours in the morning and three hours in the evening. This
equates to approximately five hours use everyday.
• Approx. weekly cost on Natural Gas: $5.60-$14 (low to high)
• Approx. weekly cost on LPG: $14-$35 (low to high)
