Where
should you install Alarm
Pro?
Ring Alarm Pro can
be
placed
on
a
table
or
mounted
on
a wall near
your
modem.
If
you're
planning
to
use this
with
your
local
internet
provider, you'll need
to
run
an
ethernet
cable
from
your
modem
to
your
Alarm Pro,
and
it
will need
to
be
plugged
into
an
outlet.
Internet Modem
When choosing a spot, keep this in
mind:
•
Don't
block
air vents on the side
of
the
Alarm
Pro.
• There should
be
enough space in the
back
for
the
power
and
ethernet
cables.
•
If
you're
going
to
add
Power
Packs,
tabletop
installation
is
recommended,
with
enough
space
to
stack
them
under
or
next
to
the
Alarm Pro.

We
don't
recommend
using
Alarm
Pro as a wifi extender,
as
it
will prevent
you
from using certain Ring Protect features.
