[:SENSe]:FREQuency:SPAN
Syntax
[:SENSe]:FREQuency:SPAN <freq>
[:SENSe]:FREQuency:SPAN?
Description
Sets the span.
Queries the span.
Parameter
Name
Type
Range
Default
<freq>
Consecutive
Real Number
GPSA mode
[1]
: 0 Hz
,
100 Hz to Fmax
GPSA mode: Fmaxz
RTSA mode
[2]
: 5 kHz to 10 MHz
RTSAmode
[3]
: 10 MHz
Note
[1]
: When the span of the analyzer is set to 0 Hz, the spectrum analyzer enters the zero span mode. If option
RSA3000-BW1 is installed, the available range is from 10 Hz to Fmax in non-zero span.
Note
[2]
: If the option RSA3000-B25 is installed, its range is from 5 kHz to 25 MHz. If the option RSA3000-B40 is
installed, its range is from 5 kHz to 40 MHz.
Note
[3]
: If the option RSA3000-B25 is installed, the default value is 25 MHz. If the option RSA3000-B40 is installed, the
default value is 40 MHz.
Remarks
The span can be set to 0 only in GPSA mode. After the span is set to 0, the instrument enters the zero span
mode; the X axis changes from frequency to time, and the instrument only displays signals whose
frequency equals to the center frequency.
Return Format
The query returns the span in scientific notation. Its unit is Hz.
Example
The following command sets the span to 20 MHz.
:SENSe:FREQuency:SPAN 20000000
The following query returns 2.000000000e+07.
:SENSe:FREQuency:SPAN?
[:SENSe]:FREQuency:SPAN:BANDwidth[:RESolution]:RATio
Syntax
[:SENSe]:FREQuency:SPAN:BANDwidth[:RESolution]:RATio <integer>
[:SENSe]:FREQuency:SPAN:BANDwidth[:RESolution]:RATio?
Description
Sets the ratio of span to RBW.
Queries the ratio of span to RBW.
Parameter
Name
Type
Range
Default
<integer>
Discrete
2 to 10,000
106
Remarks
This command is valid for the swept SA measurement in GPSA mode.
Return Format
The query returns the span/RBW ratio in integer.
