Alarm Configuration
The third step of channel configuration guide: configure the alarm parameters.
Figure 2-6 Alarm Configuration
Note: for multiplexer channel, if the DMM module is not currently inserted or it is
inserted but is not enabled, the configuration guide does not contain Alarm
Configurationwhen you connect an external DMM to execute scan and
measurement.
M300 has 4 alarm channels (Alarm1, Alarm2, Alarm3 and Alarm4; refer to Alarm
Channel Setting). You can configure an alarm channel and set the alarm limits
(high limit, low limit or both limits) for channel in the scan list. During the scan, an
alarm will be generated in the alarm channel when readings that exceed the
specified limit are detected.
If an alarm is generated during the scan, the alarm data is stored in the reading
memory as well as the alarm queue which is separate from the reading memory. The
non-scanned alarms (alarms during single-channel monitor, alarms generated by the
DIO channel, etc.) can only be stored in the alarm queue.
You can assign multiple channels to any of the 4 alarm channels and use the same
alarm limit on multiple channels, but you cannot assign multiple alarm channels and
alarm limits to the specified channel.
You can configure the alarm parameters for the DIO and TOT channels that are not
added into the scan list.
