I/O Configuration
M300 supports RS232, GPIB, LAN and USB interfaces. After configuring proper
parameters for the above interfaces, you can control M300 remotely. Press Utility
I/O to enter the interface configuration interface.
To Set GPIB Address
Connect the instrument with the PC with GPIB card installed using GPIB cable before
using the GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) Interface.
Each device on the GPIB interface must have a unique address. Press Utility I/O
GPIB to enter the interface. Use the numeric keyboard to set the GPIB address to
any integer between 0 and 30 and the default is “7”. The address set is stored in the
non-volatile memory.
To Set USB Parameters
A USB Device interface and a USB Host interface are provided by M300. The former is
used to connect computer to realize remote control and the latter is used to connect
an USB storage device to store measurement data, information in screen, ect.
Before using the USB Device interface, please use the USB cable connect the USB
Device interface at the rear panel of M300 and the USB Host interface of the
computer and press Utility I/O USB to enter the USB Device setting interface
in which USB ID is displayed. At this point, you can control M300 remotly via USB
Device interface.
Press Utility I/O USB Host to enter the USB Host setting interface.
Log Data
When “Auto” is selected, the instrument configuration and scan data will be
stored as .csv files in the USB storage device during a scan.
The path of the files stored is usually <the drive letter of the USB storage
device>:\M300\data\<the series number of M300>\<the start time of the
scan>, for example, G:\M300\data\M300123123123\20131121_140506.
The instrument configuration file is usually config.csv and the scan data file is
usually dat00001.csv. If “64K” row limit is selected in this scan, the files (such as
dat00002.csv and etc.) may be created.
When “OFF” is selected, the scan data will be stored into the internal memory.
