Syntax
:OUTPut:OVP:ALAR? [<channel>]
:OUTPut:OVP:QUES? [<channel>]
Description
Queries whether the overvoltage protection (OVP) has occurred.
Parameter
Name Type Range Default
<channel> Discrete
DP711: {CH1|P30V}
DP712: {CH1|P50V}
CH1
Remarks
Overvoltage protection indicates that when the channel output voltage equals to the overvoltage
protection value, the internal OVP flag is set to 1, and a message is displayed on the screen, prompting
you that overvoltage protection occurs and the channel output is automatically disabled. At this time,
you can send the
:OUTPut:OVP:CLEAR or [:SOURce[<n>]]:VOLTage:PROTection:CLEar command to
clear the internal OVP flag and the OVP prompt message.
You can send the
[:SOURce[<n>]]:VOLTage:PROTection:TRIPped? command to query whether the
overvoltage protection has currently occurred.
Example
:OUTPut:OVP:ALAR? CH1
:OUTPut:OVP:QUES? /*Queries whether the overvoltage protection has currently occurred*/
Return Format
YES or NO
