After his retirement from an extended career in Major League Baseball, Jason Christiansen’s passion for a
better light became more than just a garage hobby when he started the search for the best light option
while customizing his Polaris Ranger.
When introduced to new innovative forward projecting LED technology, Jason realized this was a
game changer in the o-road lighting industry. At the time, everyone thought the idea of a square and
rectangular light would not y. Despite the initial reactions of some around him, he began the challenge
of building the company. In 2006, Jason turned his hobby into a business, which later became Rigid
Industries LED Lighting.
In 2008, two partners came aboard and the three of them purchased the LED light bar company outright
and began JST Performance, Inc. Jason Christiansen, Taylor Anderson and Seth Anderson, friends who
shared the thrill of speed and the need to kick up some dirt, were now on a mission to make Rigid
Industries a household name. In the early days, you would see each of them building, packaging, selling
and shipping the LED light bars. On any given day they continue to utilize a hands-on approach that
ensures that Rigid’s renowned quality and design are found in every product.
Later in 2008, the partners brought in Steve Adams, who has an extensive engineering background and
who is an avid o-road enthusiast himself. That year, the partners attended the Sand Sport Super Show
in Southern California and quickly realized they had something very special. The people at the event were
amazed by their new technology and began to embrace it.
