optics
The patented Hybrid, Specter, and Hyperspot optics capture the maximum
amount of light rays emitted from the LED and utilize it in the forward
projecting formulas that outshine the competition.

Rigid Industries’ diusion lens oers the ultimate solution in area and scene
lighting. Identiable by its textured appearance, our diusion lens was
specically engineered to project light at a 60° ood pattern and is made
from optically clear, unbreakable polycarbonate plastic. Both Hybrid Flood
and Specter Driving optics are used with the diusion lens.
A light-emitting diode (LED) is a two-
lead passive semiconductor that emits light
when electricity is applied.
LED •
(lm) unit of measurement of emitted
light specied by the LED manufacturer.
Amount of light that the LED could produce
under perfect conditions without losses.
Lumen •
(ca) candela is a measure of intensity
projected from a given light. Candela is the
TRUE measure of how far a light will project.
Raw lumens don’t mean a thing; without
candela there is no lux and with without lux,
you can’t see where you are going.
Candela •
Specied as Candela.
Per SAE FL1 standards PBI is calculated as
Lux (distance)
2
. A good number to compare
lights with and is a measure of intensity at
the brightest portion of the beam, measured
at a distance of no closer than 10m.
Peak Beam Intensity •
