This sector includes the following applications:
•Emergency lights
•Alarms
•Electromedical devices
•Long back-up (60/90')
•Very short recharge time
•Input/output galvanic isolation
•High level diagnostics (display of a large amount of
information on the control panel of the appliance)
•Interface device for remotization of the
information (normally using dry relay
contacts)
•Very high short-circuit current (required in
particular for emergency lighting)
These applications require a back-up system
configured as follows:
•standard UPS with high capacity battery charger
•isolation transformer (where required)
•possibility of communication with remote peripherals
the following ranges assure technological and
regulatory compliance with these applications:

electro-medical equipment]

POWER DIALOG PLUS (page 22)
MASTER DIALOG (page 32)
MULTI DIALOG (page 26)
The systems used for these applications have
many similarities. In many cases, they must have
the following characteristics either because
they are indispensable (just think of the
enormous importance of a continuous power
supply for electro-medical devices) or are
required by law (there is a specific standard for
the electro-medical sector — CEI 64-8 V2 — and
also a number of guidelines and standards — EN
50171 — for emergency lights and devices):
