GENERAL SAFETY RULES n Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is off before plugging in. Carrying tools with your finger on the switch or plugging in tools that have the switch on invites accidents. n Remove adjusting keys or wrenches before turning the tool on. ELECTRICAL DOUBLE INSULATION EXTENSION CORDS Double insulation is a concept in safety in electric power tools, which eliminates the need for the usual three-wire grounded power cord. All exposed metal parts are isolated from the internal metal motor components with protecting insulation. Double insulated tools do not need to be grounded. When using a power tool at a considerable distance from a power source, be sure to use an extension cord that has the capacity to handle the current the tool will draw.

FEATURES DRIVE SHANK KNOW YOUR IMPACT WRENCH The square 1/2 in. drive shank with detent retention pin provides easy installation and removal of sockets by pushing them on or pulling them off the shank. See Figure 1. Before attempting to use this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. POWER CORD SWITCH TRIGGER Your impact wrench has a 12-foot power cord. The shape of the plug is designed not to snag on your work.
OPERATION WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict severe injury. WARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operating tools. Failure to do so could result in objects being thrown into your eyes resulting in possible serious injury. REVERSE WARNING: FORWARD Do not use any attachments or accessories not recommended by the manufacturer of this tool.
OPERATION INSTALLING AND REMOVING SOCKETS See Figure 4. Use only sockets designed for impact wrenches. Always select the correct size impact socket for nuts and bolts. Using the wrong size socket may damage the nut or bolt and cause the fastening torque to be inaccurate or inconsistent. DRIVE SHANK SOCKET n Unplug the wrench. n Push the socket onto the drive shank until the detent pin locks it into place. n To remove the socket, pull it away from the drive shank.
