See Figures 25 - 29.
Unplug the saw.
Slide the saw head to its most rearward position and
tighten the slide lock knob securely.
Pull the saw arm all the way down and lock in transport
position.
Lift the miter lock lever to unlock the miter table.
Press the miter detent bypass half way and rotate
the control arm until the pointer on the miter scale is
positioned at 0
°
.
Release the miter detent bypass and allow the miter table
to engage the 0
°
detent position.
Push the miter lock lever down to lock the miter table.
Loosen the bevel lock knob and disengage the bevel
detent lever.
NOTE: Firmly grasp the “D” handle while loosening the
bevel lock knob to prevent the saw head from shifting
unexpectedly.
Set the saw at the 0º bevel angle, engage the bevel detent
lever and ensure the saw engages the detent.
Tighten the bevel lock knob.
Place a combination square against the miter table and
the flat part of the saw blade.
NOTE: Make sure that the square contacts the flat part
of the saw blade, not the blade teeth.
Rotate the blade by hand and check the blade-to-table
alignment at several points.
The edge of the square and the saw blade should be
parallel as shown in figure 25.
