ASSEMBLY
If the front or back edge of the saw blade angles
away from the square as shown in figures 20 and 21,
adjustments are needed.
Rotate the extension tables to their fully extended
position. See To Make Extended Miter Cuts later in this
manual.
SQUARING THE SAW BLADE TO THE FENCE
See Figures 17 - 24.
Unplug the saw.
Slide the saw head to its most rearward position and
tighten the slide lock knob securely.
Pull the saw arm all the way down and lock in transport
position.
Loosen the bevel lock knob and disengage the bevel
detent lever.
Set the saw at the 0º bevel angle, engage the bevel detent
lever, and ensure the saw engages the detent.
Tighten the bevel lock knob.
Lift the miter lock lever to unlock the miter table.
Press the miter detent bypass half way and rotate
the control arm until the pointer on the miter scale is
positioned at 0
°
.
Release the miter detent bypass and allow the miter table
to engage the 0
°
detent position.
Push the miter lock lever down to lock the miter table.
Lay a framing square flat on the miter table. Place one
leg of the square against the fixed fence. Slide the other
leg of the square against the flat part of the saw blade.
NOTE: Make sure that the square contacts the flat part
of the saw blade, not the blade teeth.
The edge of the square and the saw blade should be
parallel as shown in figure 19.
