PAPER OVERFLOW DETECTION

2.7 PAPER OVERFLOW DETECTION
2.7.1 STANDARD OUTPUT TRAY
The standard output tray can stack about 500-sheets. There is a paper limit sensor
[A] to prevent paper overflow.
When the tray is full, the paper stack pushes up the feeler [B] then the paper limit
sensor is activated. When the sensor stays activated for a certain time, the
machine determines that the standard tray is full. The machine stops the print job
until the paper limit sensor is deactivated.
2.7.2 BRIDGE UNIT
The bridge unit has a paper sensor [A] to detect paper on the bridge unit. This is
monitored to ensure that the bridge unit does not contain more than 250-sheets. If
a print job of more than 250-sheets is executed, the machine will print up to 250
pages, then the print job is stopped. Once the output stack is removed, the printing
job automatically continues.
