Printing during Power Cut mode
If you send a Document Server and normal job to the EB-105EX while the copier is in
Power Cut mode, the job status is incorrect after the copier exits Power Cut mode. If you send
or print a job while the copier is in Power Cut mode, the status indicators on the LCD panel
and in the Network Utility may not be updated. After the job is printed, the status indicators
are properly updated.
Staple mode with mixed media consisting of single page sections
Even when selected, the Stapling feature will not be applied to the print job if any of the
Mixed Media sections consists of only a single sheet of paper (ex. "page 5" in simplex, or
"pages 5-6" in duplex).
Landscape data with Duplex printing and Double/ Speed setting
When you select Duplex mode with the Double/Speed setting for landscape data, the binding
direction of the prints will be opposite from what you have selected.
If "Open to Top" is selected, it will be printed in the "Open to Left" direction.
If "Open to Left" is selected, it will be printed in the "Open to Top" direction.
Full Bleed and Negative printing
If you print with both Full Bleed and Negative print options, the first page is printed correctly.
However, the following pages are printed with their print size in negative, not the document
size in negative.
Tab Shift Printing
A job with a Booklet Finisher that has Tab Shift Printing with Staple Printing is not supported.
Printing
When you print from an application by clicking the Print button, the print options are not
reflective. Choose Print from the File menu instead.
Full Bleed printing
When you print an N-up job as Full Bleed with a hairline border, the image is printed on the
border instead of within the boundaries of the border.
If you use centering on a landscape job and print the job as duplex, the back of the page is not
printed in the correct position. The duplex settings that lead to this problem are Side Binding
(LeftY and RightY), and Top Binding (TopX and BottomX). To avoid this problem, check any
hairline.
2-up and 6-up duplex printing
If you print a 2-up or 6-up job, the Binding direction will be opposite from the expected output.
For example, if you choose Side Binding, the result is actually Top Binding. To avoid this
problem, set the Orientation as landscape.
Installing PostScript printer drivers with Point-and-Print
Installing printer drivers with the Point-and-Print method of installation is supported only for
Windows 9x/Me computers.
Installing PostScript printer drivers with Microsoft Point-and-Print
When you install a driver from a Windows 2000/XP server to a Windows NT 4.0 client
computer, you need to install the Hot Fix patch to the Server PC. This Hot Fix patch is already
included for the PCL Driver.
