Installation and Operating Manual Series RA 3 Transport and storage It is imperative, for all transport work, to observe generally accepted engineering practice and the accident prevention regulations. 3.1 Storage If the valve is not installed immediately after delivery, it must be put into proper storage. Handle the goods being transported with care. During transport the actuator must be protected against impacts and collisions.
Installation and Operating Manual Series RA 4.3 2. Loosen the locking nuts D1 and D2 at the end position adjustment screws. 3. Remove air pressure from the actuator. 4. Turn the adjustment screw D2 anti-clockwise ca. 5 times 5. Turn the adjustment screw D1 in one or the other direction to reach the desired setting point for the end position of the valve. 6. Apply air to canal A and check the adjusted end position. If necessary repeate proceeding (Point 3 and 5). 7.
Installation and Operating Manual Series RA 4.5.1 Removal of the shaft 4.5.3 Removal of the piston Remove the circlip and the sliding ring from the shaft. Remove the end cap on the actuator. Remove the return springs (singleacting actuators). The actuator has fastened springs. The removal of the springs is safer compared to actuators with nonfastened springs. Clip must not be over-stretched ! Press the shaft downwards out of the casing.
Installation and Operating Manual Series RA Table 1 4.6 Mounting the return springs Warning - Danger of injury ! Loosen the end caps only when the actuator is isolated from the compressed air supply. In order to achieve a symmetrical pressure distribution, it is necessary to insert the springs as shown in the diagrams below. Remove the end cap on the actuator. Set the desired number of return springs in the round insets in the piston.

Safety Information / Declaration of No Objection Concerning the Contamination of Richter-Pumps, -Valves and Components 1 SCOPE AND PURPOSE Each entrepreneur (operator) carries the responsibility for the health and safety of his employees. This extends also to the personnel, who implements repairs with the operator or with the contractor. Enclosed declaration is for the information of the contractor concerning the possible contamination of the pumps, valves and component sent in for repair.
Declaration about the Contamination of Richter Pumps, -Valves and Components The repair and/or maintenance of pumps, valves and components can only be implemented if a completely filled out declaration is available. If this is not the case, delay of the work will occur. If this declaration is not attached to the devices, which have to be repaired, the transmission can be rejected. Every aggregate has to have it’s own declaration.
