Nothing happens when trying t o
print using a softwar e program:
• Ensur e t hat the print er is a t READY.
• Observe the Front Panel, if the READY light does not flash as you send the format
check the protocol and por t settings between th e printer and h ost.
• E nsure the i nterface ca ble m eets the r equ irements found i n Sect ion 3 .1. 2 .
P oor print quality:
• T he printhead may n eed cleaning; see S ecti on 6. 1.
• Adjust the Heat and Print Speed settings through the Front Panel or by host
commands; non-display printe rs see Section 4.5. 2, display printers see Sect i on 5. 1. 3.
• The me dia/ribbon combinati on m ay not be c ompati ble ; c ontac t a Media Repres e ntative .
• The Printh ead Leveling Cam may be in corr ectly adjusted; see Section 6.2.
• T he Pl aten Rol ler may be dirty or wor n; clean or call for s ervice.
• T he Printhead Burn Line may need a dju s t ing; see S ection 6 .3.
S kip s labels when printing:
• Media Calibration may be needed; non-display printers see Section 4.7, display
printers see Secti on 5.4 .
• The Media Sensor may be out of position; readjust the position ; see Section 3.3.
• The format may be within 1/8 inch of the label’s tr ailing edge. Tr y reducin g or moving
the format slightly.
Unable to print rota ted text:
The characters may be formatted outside the label dimensions. Ensure the row/column
values provide enough room for the height of the characters or bar code to be printed.
