NIC ADAPTE R
Network Interface Card Adapter (optional). If not present, this displays ‘NOT
INSTALLED’ when accessed. After making changes to these parameters, save the
changes, exit the menu system, the printer will then reset for the changes to take
e ffect.
IP ADDRESS
The static IP address of the NIC Adapter. This is in standard dotted-decimal format.
SUBNET MASK
The static subnet assigned to the NIC Adapter .
GATEWAY
S pecifies the net work ga teway addres s the N I C Ada pter should use.
SNMPTRAP DESTINATIO N
Selects the Network IP address where all SNMP Traps will be sent. If zeroed, no
traps a r e sent. The Receiver must have SNMP service insta lled.
IP DISCOVERY
T his is the addr ess discover y method used by t he NIC Ada pter if a sta tic addr ess is
not utilized. If no server for any of the discovery methods is found, the static value
specif ied is used.
Note: For fas ter NIC Adapt er boot times , di sabl e any di scovery methods not us ed.
ENABLED
Default. Modifications to IP, Subnet Mask, or Gateway addresses will not be allowed.
WARNING! An IP A ddress assigned by a server has precedence over any static IP Address stored in the NIC Adapter.
DISABLED
Disables IP Discovery.

SET FACTORY DEFAULT S
Resets all of the network parameters to factory default settings. Including some
para meters that are not accessible thr ough the printer’s menu.

The number of seconds a communications port must be idle before the pr inter may
pr ocess data from a different port. T his value is also used to “timeout” an image /
la bel for mat downloa d (i. e. , if, a t a ny time, dat a flow s tops b efor e a complete la bel
forma t is received, the data will be ignor ed).
CONT ROL CODES
Allows the operator to change the prefix of the software commands interpreted by the
printer.

CUSTO M CO DES
Each DPL command (SOH, STX, CR, and count-by) may be selected by entering the
desired Hex code. (The and Keys will scroll the characters, while the ENTER Key
sel ects cha racter and then ad va nces t he cursor .)
